Not every job is walls and trim — some are about safety and durability on tough surfaces. At MCV, we refreshed the caution curbs, and concrete calls for a very specific approach.
We used Sherwin-Williams Forte, a product engineered specifically for concrete and masonry, to bring those curbs back to bright, high-visibility color. Ordinary paint doesn’t hold up on concrete underfoot and against the weather; a purpose-built coating does. The curbs look sharp again and, more importantly, do their safety job clearly — exactly what a well-run facility needs.

Concrete and masonry are porous, alkaline, and take heavy abuse from traffic and weather, so ordinary paint fails quickly — it flakes and wears away. A purpose-built masonry coating like Sherwin-Williams Forte is formulated to bond to concrete and hold up to that wear, which is why we used it here.
Forte is a coating engineered specifically for concrete and masonry surfaces. It delivers bright, durable color that adheres properly to concrete and stands up to foot and vehicle traffic and the elements — ideal for curbs, safety markings, and similar surfaces.
Caution curbs exist to keep people safe by clearly marking hazards and boundaries. Bright, well-maintained color makes them easy to see, which reduces trips and vehicle incidents. Refreshing faded curbs isn’t just cosmetic — it restores their safety function.
