FREQUENTLY ASKED
Significantly. Professional cabinet refinishing typically costs one-third to one-half the price of new cabinets and is finished in days instead of weeks. If your cabinet boxes are structurally sound, refinishing gives you a fresh, modern look without the cost and demolition of replacement.
A typical kitchen usually runs about $2,500–$6,000 depending on the number of doors and drawers, the finish you choose, and the level of prep. We provide a free written estimate after seeing your kitchen.
Most kitchens take about 3–5 days. Proper drying and curing between coats is essential for a durable, factory-smooth finish, so we never rush it — the result is worth the short wait.
We remove doors and hardware, thoroughly clean and degrease every surface, sand and prime for adhesion, then apply multiple coats of cabinet-grade finish — sprayed for a smooth, even, brush-free look. Edges, boxes, and trim are all included.
Yes. We use professional cabinet coatings designed to resist moisture, grease, and daily wear. Combined with meticulous prep, the finish stands up to real kitchen life and wipes clean easily.
Definitely. Color changes are one of the most popular requests. We can take dated oak or cherry to a crisp white, soft gray, navy, or nearly any color you like — completely transforming the kitchen without new cabinets.
You’ll have limited use — doors and drawers are off for part of the project while they cure — but we sequence the work to keep disruption short and tell you exactly what to expect each day.
Not when they’re done right. Chipping comes from skipped prep or wall paint used where a cabinet enamel belongs. We degrease, scuff-sand, use a bonding primer, and spray a hardened cabinet-grade enamel that cures to a durable shell. Treat them like factory-finished cabinets — no abrasive pads, wipe spills as they happen — and they’ll look new for years.
Day 1: we mask the kitchen, remove doors, drawers, and hardware, label everything, and degrease and sand. Day 2: primer on boxes and the first coats on doors in our spray setup. Days 3–4: finish coats and curing. Final day: reassembly, hardware, touch-ups, and a walkthrough. You’ll know the plan before we start and get an update at the end of each day.
Standard refinishing covers everything you see: door fronts and backs, drawer fronts, face frames, end panels, and any exposed box edges. Cabinet interiors and drawer boxes are usually left as-is since they’re rarely visible and add cost, but we’re happy to include them — glass-front or open-shelf cabinets are a common reason to. Just ask during your estimate.

Painting kitchen cabinets is the fastest way to change a kitchen without replacing it. Cabinet painting, cabinet refinishing, cupboard refinishing and repainting already-painted cabinets are all the same process here: doors and drawer fronts come off, get cleaned, degreased, sanded and sprayed, and go back on hardware that works.
We refinish existing cabinets, stain as well as paint, and finish kitchen doors and drawer fronts in a controlled setup rather than brushing them in place. Every cabinet painting estimate is free and lists the door and drawer count it is based on.
